Why do Nia? ~ TestimonialsI was very impressed by your Nia class and, from now on, will be recommending that patients take them. I can see that Nia could be helpful not only for musculoskeletal problems, but also for depression. I find that women with fibromyalgia are very
driven and need to to something that's
nice for the self. People with cancer often need to learn to nurture the
self. So you're classes, I feel, would really fit the bill. I believe
that doing the Nia classes would help with pain relief and overall wellbeing. The
class was so vibrant and you were caring, skillful and enthusiastic. It took me a long time to go to my first Nia class although I'd heard a lot about it from friends. The thing was, they were all female and I always felt a bit self concious on being the only man in the group. I needn't have worried! After half an hour of Nia the only things on my mind was my accentuated breathing and the exciting rush from feeling new muscles that are never reached during a usual workout on the treadmill! Plus it is a good hard workout! I love the moves and the philosophy behind the class. For me it goes way beyond the standard aerobic workout
which you will NEVER see me doing! There ARE softer moments but they are
balanced out with quite Antonio Juevos ~ Oxford |
